Senior Software Engineer – 5,000 Clients and Growing!

Due to Inmagic's continued growth, we have an opening for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join our team. You, as the successful candidate, will be an energetic, proactive Senior Software Engineer within our product development team researching, designing, and developing new features for our next generation product.

 

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop software, including unit testing procedures, documentation, and installation/deployment procedures as part of the Product Development Team.
• Analyzes functional software requirements to determine scope definition and timing for project planning purposes.
• Work closely with the development lead and manager, product management, quality analysis, documentation, professional services, release engineering and fellow developers to deliver the best product possible.
• Provide regular status updates to the development lead and manager.
• Follow assigned project from inception through completion.
  

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong knowledge of object-oriented software development methodologies (C# is best; VB.Net, Java and C++ are acceptable).
• Database programming with T-SQL.
• Multitasking ability in a fast-paced environment.
• Minimum 4 years professional experience developing web-based software.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated committed self-starter who can work in a team with minimal supervision.
• BSCS/MSCS+5yrs of applicable experience
• Most interested in core talent, not knowing the latest buzzwords.

Additional Skills Desired:

• Experience with abstract, metadata-based architecture
• Experience with building frameworks
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with highly available clustered enterprise systems
• Familiar with FDD (Feature Driven Development) methodologies
• A solid working knowledge of .NET, ASP.NET, AJAX, XML, XSL, HTML, JavaScript
• Experience with Web services (SOAP/WSDL)
• Experience working with full text search engines (Lucene.NET is best)
