Inmagic’s Social Knowledge Network (SKN) applications are built on Presto technology.

Inmagic's core development philosophy is based on industry standards that are easily integrated and extensible over time. Our applications are based on Microsoft® SQL™ Server and .NET technology and fully utilize XML and Web services. This enables our applications to complement our customers' existing repositories and integrate with existing applications or processes.

Presto applications are noted for their flexibility, extensibility, security, ease of deployment, and ease of use. While Inmagic offers out-of-the-box templates for managing many common types of information and content, these templates can be easily changed and configured by non-technical business staff. For example, metadata elements, taxonomies, advanced search screens, edit screens, and search results views are easily modified. Presto is also designed to manage multiple forms of information and to provide a single consolidated view of the information with ease – including documents, text, digital images, URLs, artifacts, newsfeeds, and books.

Configurable and Secure

Presto is both powerful and easy to use. You can configure the system by adding any combination of internal, external, and social knowledge. Presto’s robust configuration provides secure access to perform tasks such as defining content permissions, configuring screens and home pages, adding new types of content, modifying the look and feel of the system, and setting up users and roles. This configuration layer gives users necessary levels of control while reducing dependence on IT. Presto offers advanced role-based security capabilities:
