DB/TextWorks^® v12

Inmagic's new release of DB/TextWorks®, Version 12, streamlines workflow and simplifies database maintenance for library and information professionals Inmagic's new version of DB/TextWorks, v12, became available in June of 2009.

Newest DB/TextWorks v12 features include:

Improvements to batch modify, validation lists and import functionality	Batch modify multiple fields - change more than one field at a time. Batch modify field-to-field - copy or move the contents of one field to another. Update records to match validation list changes - when terms on a validation list are changed or deleted, corresponding changes are made in affected textbase records. Import matching multiple records - option to update multiple matching records.
Enhanced search capabilities	Thesaurus expansion when searching - retrieval of preferred and related terms when searching fields connected to a thesaurus. Easier textbase recognition - moving the cursor over a textbase on the File menu causes the full path of that textbase to appear in the status bar.
Enhanced Email	Email reports in HTML - send Report as Mail now supports HTML format in the email body. Email reports grouped by recipient - email reports sent to recipients identified in textbase records can optionally have all messages to a given recipient grouped into one email message.
Advanced imaging	Support for the newer versions of PDF formats from Adobe® Acrobat®

 

Web Publisher Pro v12 - Enhancements to security, CSS support, and alternative search syntax.

Newest Web Publisher Pro v12 features include:

Improved support for newer browser versions and operating systems Better searching through a new advanced synonym searching feature Improvements to XHTML support

 

Inmagic DB/Text and Web Publisher Pro customers on maintenance automatically receive DB/TextWorks and/or Web Publisher Pro v12 as part of their annual maintenance contract, and thus can take advantage of these enhanced features and functionality at no additional cost.

Content Server v11

What's New in this Version?

Based on customer input, Content Server v11.00 includes many enhancements that will help you to better use your Inmagic technology.

CS/TextWorks v11 features include:

File checker	Allows users to verify that files referenced on the local or network directory exist.  This feature is similar to the URL checker but for UNC referenced files. Helps users keep the quality of their textbases high.
Limited undo in form designer	Allows users to undo the last action performed in the form designer; available for specific action types such as moving or inserting boxes.
HTML report preview	Preview shows what a report will look like displayed in a Web environment, allowing form designers to save time and create better-looking output on the first try.
Ability to select form for Edit Secondary Record window	Improves the ease with which secondary records can be edited and maintained.

 

CS/Web Publisher Pro v11 features include:

XHTML compliance	Provides improved standards compliance for Web publishing, enabling Web developers to use XHTML when writing custom Web pages.
Query logging	Provides the administrator with a log of the WebPublisher queries. This allows usage analysis of textbases. Items reported will include: the query, number of records returned, time & date, and the IP address from which the query originated. The log file will be created in CVS format, enabling analysis of the information by importing the file into DB/TextWorks, Excel or other products.
Next/prev highlight navigation	A new option permits users to easily jump to the next or previous highlighted query hit within the record in a search result

 

Inmagic customers on maintenance automatically receive CS/TextWorks v11 and/or CS/Web Publisher Pro v11 as part of their annual maintenance contract, and thus can take advantage of these enhanced features and functionality at no additional cost.

If you own both CS/TextWorks and CS/Web Publisher Pro, you need to keep both products on the same version. These products are designed to work together and therefore these products have interdependencies. Please upgrade both CS/TextWorks and CS/Web Publisher Pro to ensure that they continue to work correctly.
